These wearable Walkman specialised for sports are compact and stylish with the MP3 Player built into the ear buds there are no wires trailing to your pocket or sleeve as the only wire on these is the one that you wear round the back of your neck connecting the two earbuds. Perfect for Activity I must like these things because this is the forth pair I’ve bought over all three generations made so far. I actually got these for my wife because she was using an Apple iPod but hated the software and the fact that you are hampered by the headphone cord that gets in the way. No issues with Apple sound quality but where do you hang the thing when you are working out and have a cable flapping?I bought the very first generation around four years ago for gym use and I was instantly converted. They sound fantastic, the power level is high enough to drown out the R&B crap that most gyms pump out all the time and they were easy peasy to use with no wires getting in the way. You did look a bit like an extra from Star Trek, but then who looks their best looking sweaty with a pair of old shorts on? I could live with the looks. However after about two years they died for the same reason that many other people had noticed which was sweat corrosion. I was gutted. However…

Good player, poor design My only gripe with the design of this MP3 player is the headset wants to pop out of your ears whilst running. The cable that passes around the head is built so that you have to pivot the earpieces into your ear. The force of the pivot instead of holding them to the ear, is the opposite. Whilst this is hard to explain, it means the player doesn’t sit comfortably in the ear and works loose roughly once a minute. Trust me, this gets annoying fast whilst on a tempo run.I’d probably return them to Amazon if I could, they’re not fit for purpose. I’m sure they’d be fine if you just wanted something for the gym.
